Altair

Altair is a prominent star located in the constellation Aquila, which means "the eagle" in Latin. It is one of the brightest stars in the night sky and is notable for its rapid rotation, completing a spin on its axis approximately every 9 hours. Due to this fast rotation, Altair has a slightly flattened shape, appearing thicker at the equator. Often referred to as Alpha Aquilae, it is about 16.7 light-years away from Earth and is part of a well-known asterism called the Summer Triangle, which also includes the stars Vega and Deneb.
