Ares I

Ares I was a spacecraft designed by NASA as part of the Constellation program, intended for human space exploration. It aimed to return astronauts to the Moon and eventually send them to Mars. Ares I consisted of a two-stage rocket, with the first stage powered by solid rocket boosters similar to those used in the Space Shuttle. The second stage would carry astronauts in the Orion spacecraft. Although Ares I showed potential, the Constellation program was ultimately canceled in 2010 due to budget issues and shifting priorities in U.S. space exploration.
