Mars Sample Return Mission
The Mars Sample Return mission is a collaborative effort by NASA and ESA to collect rock and soil samples from Mars and bring them back to Earth for detailed analysis. A spacecraft will retrieve containers of material left on Mars by previous rovers, then launch them into orbit around Mars. A dedicated spacecraft will then capture these samples and transfer them to a rocket that will carry them back to Earth. Analyzing these samples could provide vital insights into Mars’ geology, climate history, and the potential for past life, advancing our understanding of the planet.
