Condorcet Method

The Condorcet Method is a voting system used to determine the most preferred option among candidates or choices. In this method, each option is compared head-to-head against every other option. The winner of each comparison is the one that would receive more votes if people had to choose between just those two options. The overall winner, known as the "Condorcet winner," is the option that wins the most head-to-head contests. This method aims to reflect the collective preference of voters more accurately than simple majority voting. However, a Condorcet winner may not always exist due to cycles in preferences.

The Condorcet method is a voting system used to find the candidate who would win against each of the others in a series of head-to-head comparisons. Voters rank their preferences, and for each pair of candidates, the one preferred by the majority wins. The candidate who beats all others in these one-on-one matchups is called the "Condorcet Winner." This method aims to reflect the true preferences of voters more accurately than simple plurality voting, as it considers overall support and not just the candidate with the most first-choice votes.
