Colour vision
Color vision refers to the ability to perceive and differentiate between various colors. This ability mainly stems from specialized cells in the eyes called cones, which detect light in different wavelengths corresponding to colors like red, green, and blue. When light hits these cones, they send signals to the brain, which interprets them as colors. Most people have trichromatic vision, meaning they have three types of cones. However, some individuals, such as those with color blindness, have fewer types of cones, which affects their ability to see certain colors distinctly.
