Colour blindness

Color blindness is a visual condition where individuals have difficulty distinguishing certain colors, most commonly reds and greens. It results from a difference or absence of specific cone cells in the retina, the part of the eye that detects light and color. These cone cells are responsible for perceiving different wavelengths of light, which create color vision. When they’re not functioning properly or missing, color perception becomes limited or distorted. Most people with color blindness can see shapes and details normally, but may struggle to tell certain colors apart. It is usually inherited but can also result from eye disease or injury.
