Coffee varieties
Coffee varieties refer to the different types of coffee plants, primarily two species: Arabica and Robusta. Arabica beans are known for their smooth, complex flavors and are often seen as higher quality, making up about 70% of the world's coffee production. They thrive at higher altitudes. Robusta, on the other hand, has a stronger, more bitter taste and contains more caffeine, making it hardier and easier to grow in various environments. Other varieties exist within these species, each offering unique flavor profiles influenced by factors like climate, soil, and processing methods.
