CO2 and O2 transport
Carbon dioxide (CO2) and oxygen (O2) are gases vital for life. In humans, oxygen is inhaled into the lungs, where it enters the bloodstream and is transported to cells for energy production. As cells use oxygen, they produce carbon dioxide as a waste product. This CO2 is carried back to the lungs via the bloodstream, where it is expelled when we exhale. This exchange of gases is crucial for our survival, supporting respiration and maintaining proper levels of these gases in our bodies and the environment.
