CNT (Confederación Nacional del Trabajo)
The Confederación Nacional del Trabajo (CNT) is a Spanish anarcho-syndicalist union founded in 1910. It advocates for workers' rights and emphasizes direct action and solidarity among workers. CNT seeks to empower workers through self-management and aims to replace capitalism with a cooperative, egalitarian society. Historically influential during the Spanish Civil War, the CNT opposed both fascism and authoritarian communism. Today, it remains committed to promoting social justice, labor rights, and grassroots activism, while rejecting official trade union structures and political parties, believing that workers should control their workplaces and communities directly.
