Cleopatra VII (Cleopatra)

Cleopatra VII was the last active ruler of the Ptolemaic Kingdom of Egypt, reigning from 51 to 30 BCE. Known for her intelligence, charm, and political acumen, she sought to preserve Egypt's independence during the rise of Rome. Cleopatra formed alliances with powerful Roman leaders, including Julius Caesar and Mark Antony, which were both personal and political. Her life was marked by dramatic events, including battles and passionate affairs. Eventually, her defeat by Octavian (later Augustus) led to her suicide, marking the end of the Ptolemaic rule and the annexation of Egypt into the Roman Empire.
