Cleopatra's Needle

Cleopatra's Needle refers to a pair of ancient Egyptian obelisks originally erected in Heliopolis around 1450 BC. These tall, slender monuments, made from red granite, are inscribed with hieroglyphs honoring Pharaohs. Two of these obelisks were transported to other locations: one stands in Central Park, New York City, while the other is in London, near the River Thames. Despite their name, they have no direct connection to Cleopatra. These impressive structures symbolize Egypt's rich history and have become significant landmarks in their respective cities.
