Chimay Blue

Chimay Blue, also known as Chimay Grande Réserve, is a Belgian strong dark ale brewed by Chimay Brewery, one of the Trappist breweries where monks produce beer. First released in 1956, it has a deep brown color and complex flavors, featuring notes of dark fruit, chocolate, and caramel, with a rich, slightly sweet finish. It is often bottle-conditioned, meaning it continues to develop flavors in the bottle over time, and can age well. Chimay Blue is highly regarded among beer enthusiasts and is typically enjoyed in small servings due to its higher alcohol content of around 9%.
