Chalcolithic period

The Chalcolithic period, also known as the Copper Age, occurred between the Neolithic and the Bronze Age, roughly around 4500 to 3300 BCE. During this time, humans began to use copper tools alongside their stone implements, marking an important technological advancement. Societies became more complex, with the development of agriculture, trade, and early forms of governance. Settlements began to grow, leading to the formation of villages and, eventually, cities. This period is significant for laying the foundation for the emergence of advanced civilizations in regions like the Near East and parts of Europe.
