Black Hole Imaging

Black hole imaging involves capturing images of black holes using advanced telescopes and technology. Since black holes themselves don't emit light, scientists focus on the shadow they cast against the bright material surrounding them. The Event Horizon Telescope (EHT) is a network of radio dishes that work together to create high-resolution images. In 2019, the EHT revealed the first image of a black hole's shadow in the galaxy M87, showing a dark center surrounded by glowing gas.
