Babylonia

Babylonia was an ancient civilization located in what is now modern-day Iraq, flourishing around 1900 to 1600 BCE. It was known for its remarkable achievements in writing, law, and architecture. The city of Babylon, its capital, featured the famous Hanging Gardens, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Babylonians developed one of the earliest writing systems, cuneiform, and created the Code of Hammurabi, one of the first written legal codes. Their culture blended Sumerian traditions with their own, significantly influencing later civilizations in art, science, and religion. Babylonia represents a key chapter in human history.
