Azad Jammu and Kashmir

Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) is a self-governing administrative region in Pakistan, located in the northern part of the country. It was established in 1947 following the partition of British India and the subsequent conflict over the larger Jammu and Kashmir region, which is claimed by both India and Pakistan. AJK has its own government and legislative assembly, but it is subject to the authority of Pakistan.
