Azad Hind Fauj
The Azad Hind Fauj, or the Indian National Army (INA), was a military force formed during World War II to fight for India's independence from British rule. Established by Indian nationalist leader Subhas Chandra Bose in 1942, it sought to mobilize Indian citizens and utilize the support of Japan against the British. The INA aimed to unite Indians and inspire them to liberate their country. Although it faced significant challenges and was ultimately defeated, its efforts contributed to the growing nationalist sentiments and the eventual independence of India in 1947.
