Indian National Army (INA)

The Indian National Army (INA) was a military organization established during World War II by Indian nationalists seeking independence from British rule. Formed in 1942 with the support of Japan, it aimed to overthrow British authority in India through military action. Led by Subhas Chandra Bose, the INA recruited Indian soldiers and volunteers to fight alongside Axis powers against the British and Allied forces. Although it did not achieve its ultimate goal, the INA galvanized Indian independence movements, inspired national unity, and contributed to the eventual end of British colonial rule in India in 1947.
