Asaf Jah dynasty

The Asaf Jah dynasty, also known as the Nizam of Hyderabad, was a prominent Muslim ruling family in India that lasted from the early 18th century until India's independence in 1947. Founded by Mir Qamaruddin, the dynasty was known for its wealth, culture, and administration. The Nizams ruled over Hyderabad and surrounding regions, becoming famous for their contributions to architecture, art, and education. They maintained a degree of autonomy under British colonial rule and played a significant role in India’s history, particularly during the integration of princely states post-independence.
