Armstrongism
Armstrongism refers to the beliefs and practices associated with the Worldwide Church of God (WCG) and its founder, Herbert W. Armstrong, who promoted a unique interpretation of Christianity in the 20th century. It emphasizes sabbath observance, dietary laws, and the idea that the true church is distinct and authoritative. Armstrong followers believe in a literal interpretation of the Bible, stressing understanding prophecy and the Kingdom of God as a future reality. This movement has faced significant criticism for its authoritarian structure and has since evolved, particularly after Armstrong's death in 1986, leading to various splinter groups with differing beliefs.
