Worldwide Church of God
The Worldwide Church of God (WCG) was a Christian denomination founded in 1934 by Herbert W. Armstrong. It initially promoted unique beliefs, including the observance of Saturday as the Sabbath and the concept of God as a family. After Armstrong's death in 1986, the church underwent significant changes, moving towards mainstream Christianity and distancing itself from previous doctrines. In the 1990s, it became known for its theological shifts and rebranding, now operating under the name Grace Communion International. Today, it emphasizes grace, faith in Jesus Christ, and traditional Christian beliefs while seeking a more inclusive approach.
