Amun

Amun is an ancient Egyptian deity often associated with the sun and air. Initially a local god in Thebes, he rose to prominence during the New Kingdom, becoming one of the most important gods in Egyptian mythology. Amun was often depicted as a man with a ram's head or as a ram himself. He symbolizes creation, fertility, and was believed to be the king of the gods. His full title was "Amun-Ra," merging his identity with the sun god Ra, reflecting his importance in Egyptian religion and culture, particularly in temples and monumental architecture.
