Yongle Emperor (Zhu Di)

The Yongle Emperor, also known as Zhu Di, was the third emperor of China's Ming Dynasty, reigning from 1402 to 1424. He is best known for his military conquests, which helped expand the empire, and for commissioning the famous "Yongle Encyclopedia," one of the largest encyclopedias of its time. Additionally, he moved the capital from Nanjing to Beijing, where he built the Forbidden City, a symbol of imperial power. His reign is often noted for its cultural flourishing and exploration, including the voyages of Admiral Zheng He, which expanded China's maritime influence.
