Yellowstone Caldera

Yellowstone Caldera is a massive volcanic crater located in Yellowstone National Park, USA. It was formed by a series of explosive eruptions over the last 2.1 million years. The caldera is about 30 miles wide and is a prime example of a supervolcano, capable of producing catastrophic eruptions that can affect the global climate. Beneath the caldera lies a magma chamber that fuels geothermal features like hot springs and geysers, including the famous Old Faithful. While it's closely monitored, the chances of a major eruption in the near future are considered low.
