extinct volcano
An extinct volcano is a volcano that has not erupted for a long time and is not expected to erupt again in the future. This status typically indicates that the geological processes that fed the volcano with magma have ceased. Extinct volcanoes often appear as eroded mountains or hills, and their signs of volcanic activity, such as craters or lava flows, may be visible. Unlike active volcanoes, which can erupt, or dormant ones that may erupt again, extinct volcanoes are considered geologically "dead," having lost the necessary conditions for volcanic activity.
