Womanism is a social theory and movement that emerged from the experiences of Black women, highlighting their unique struggles and contributions within the context of feminism and society. It emphasizes the importance of race, class, and gender, advocating for the rights and dignity of women, particularly those of color. Womanism seeks to address issues such as racism, sexism, and economic inequality while celebrating the culture and resilience of Black women.
