Weiner's Attribution Theory

Weiner's Attribution Theory explains how people interpret events and behaviors, particularly focusing on the reasons behind success or failure. According to the theory, individuals attribute outcomes to three main factors: ability (skills), effort (hard work), and external circumstances (luck or task difficulty). These attributions can influence motivation and future behavior. For instance, if someone believes they failed a test because they didn't study hard enough (effort), they're likely to study more next time. Conversely, if they attribute failure to an unfair exam (external circumstances), they may feel less motivated to improve.
