Vostok

Vostok 1 was the first human spaceflight, launched by the Soviet Union on April 12, 1961. It carried astronaut Yuri Gagarin, who became the first person to orbit the Earth. The spacecraft completed one full orbit in about 108 minutes, demonstrating the possibilities of human space travel. Gagarin's successful mission marked a significant achievement in the Space Race between the United States and the Soviet Union and established a new era of exploration beyond our planet. Vostok 1 remains a historic milestone in space exploration and a symbol of human courage and ingenuity.
