Virgo Supercluster

The Virgo Supercluster is a vast collection of galaxies, including our own Milky Way, bound together by gravity. It contains thousands of galaxies and extends for about 110 million light-years across. The supercluster gets its name from the Virgo constellation, where many of its galaxies are located. It is part of an even larger structure called the Laniakea Supercluster. Understanding the Virgo Supercluster helps astronomers study the large-scale structure of the universe and how galaxies form and evolve over time.
