Quasar
A quasar is a highly energetic and luminous object located at the center of some distant galaxies. Powered by supermassive black holes that consume surrounding matter, quasars emit enormous amounts of radiation across the electromagnetic spectrum, making them visible over billions of light-years. They are among the brightest objects in the universe, often outshining their entire host galaxies. Quasars help scientists study the early universe and the growth of black holes, providing insights into cosmic evolution. Despite their brightness, they are compact, meaning their intense energy output comes from a relatively small region around a black hole.
