Varg Vikernes

Varg Vikernes is a Norwegian musician and writer, best known for his involvement in the black metal music scene in the early 1990s as the creator of the one-man project Burzum. He gained notoriety not only for his music but also for his criminal history, including the murder of fellow musician Øystein Aarseth (Euronymous) and his subsequent imprisonment. Vikernes has espoused controversial views, including paganism and anti-Semitism, which have drawn criticism. After his release from prison, he became known for his writings on Norse mythology and European culture, continuing to cultivate a polarizing public image.
