Burzum
Burzum is a music project created by Norwegian musician Varg Vikernes in the early 1990s, primarily known for its influential contributions to the black metal genre. Combining haunting melodies, atmospheric sounds, and raw production, Burzum’s music often explores themes of nature, mythology, and nihilism. Varg Vikernes gained notoriety not only for his music but also for his criminal activities, including the murder of a fellow musician and arson attacks on churches. Despite the controversies surrounding Vikernes, Burzum remains significant in the black metal scene and has influenced many artists within and outside the genre.
