Euronymous
Euronymous, born Øystein Aarseth in 1968, was a Norwegian musician and a key figure in the black metal music scene of the early 1990s. He co-founded the influential band Mayhem and ran the record label Deathlike Silence Productions. Euronymous is often associated with the controversial and violent history of Norwegian black metal, including the church burnings and the murder of his bandmate, Pelle Ohlin (Dead).
