Vardhana dynasty
The Vardhana dynasty was a prominent royal family in ancient India, ruling during the 6th and 7th centuries CE, primarily in the region of present-day Haryana and Punjab. Founded by King Harsha, the dynasty is notable for its cultural and religious influence, as Harsha was a patron of Buddhism and helped spread its teachings. The dynasty also facilitated trade and diplomacy, contributing to the economic growth of northern India. Harsha's reign is marked by a flourishing of literature and arts, along with efforts to unify the Indian subcontinent against foreign invasions, although the dynasty eventually declined after his death.
