
United States Air Force (USAF)
The United States Air Force (USAF) is the aerial and space warfare service branch of the U.S. Armed Forces. Established in 1947, it is responsible for conducting military operations in the air and space, protecting U.S. interests domestically and internationally. The USAF operates a wide range of aircraft, including fighter jets, bombers, and cargo planes, as well as satellite systems for surveillance and communication. Its primary missions include air superiority, global strike, rapid global mobility, intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, and command and control. The USAF plays a critical role in national defense and supports joint operations with other military branches.
