United Australia Party

The United Australia Party (UAP) is an Australian political party founded in 1931, originally aiming to combat the Great Depression with economic reforms. It was created by Joe Lyons, a former Prime Minister, to unite conservative and country voters. The party played a significant role in Australian politics during the 1930s but lost influence and dissolved in 1945. A new UAP was established in 2020, led by Clive Palmer, focusing on issues like economic recovery and national sovereignty.
