Two Sicilian Wars
The Two Sicilian Wars were a series of conflicts fought between the 13th and 15th centuries over the control of the Kingdom of Sicily. The first war (1282-1302) started with the Sicilian Vespers, a revolt against French rule, leading to the Aragonese conquest of Sicily. The second war (1415-1420) arose from disputes between the French and the Aragonese claims to the island. These wars involved complex alliances and shifting power dynamics in medieval Europe, ultimately shaping Sicily's political landscape and its relationships with surrounding kingdoms.
