Triple jump
The triple jump is a track and field event that combines three distinct phases: the hop, the step, and the jump. An athlete runs down a runway, takes off from one foot (the hop), lands on the same foot, then steps onto the other foot (the step), and finally jumps into a sandpit from the second foot (the jump). The distance covered from the takeoff board to where the athlete lands in the sandpit is measured, and the longest distance achieved in a series of attempts wins. It requires a combination of speed, strength, and technique to excel.
