Take-off
Take-off is the process by which an aircraft becomes airborne. It begins with the plane moving down the runway to gain speed, which generates enough lift—a force created by the wings turning airflow into an upward force—to raise the aircraft off the ground. Pilots adjust controls to maintain proper speed, angle, and stability until the plane rises enough to clear obstacles and reaches a safe altitude. Essentially, take-off transitions the aircraft from ground movement to steady flight, preparing it to navigate toward its destination.
