Tomb of Qin Shi Huang
The Tomb of Qin Shi Huang is the burial site of China's first emperor, Qin Shi Huang, who ruled from 221 to 210 BCE. Located near the city of Xi'an, the tomb is famous for the Terracotta Army, a collection of thousands of life-sized clay soldiers meant to protect the emperor in the afterlife. Discovered in 1974, the site reflects the emperor's immense power and his ambition to achieve immortality. The tomb itself remains largely unexcavated, adding to its mystery. It is a UNESCO World Heritage site and a significant symbol of ancient Chinese history and culture.
