Qin Shi Huang Mausoleum is the burial site of China's first emperor, Qin Shi Huang, located near Xi'an. This massive tomb complex, built around 210-210 BCE, is famous for the Terracotta Army—thousands of life-sized clay soldiers, horses, and chariots intended to protect the emperor in the afterlife. The mausoleum encompasses a vast underground vault and burial mound, symbolizing the emperor's power and efforts to ensure immortality. While much remains unexcavated, it is considered one of the greatest archaeological finds, offering insight into ancient Chinese history, craftsmanship, and beliefs about the afterlife.
