Tinnitus
Tinnitus is the perception of ringing, buzzing, hissing, or other sounds in the ears or head without an external source. It often results from damage or changes in the auditory system, such as hearing loss, ear infections, exposure to loud noises, or other health conditions. Tinnitus can vary in intensity and duration, sometimes being a temporary nuisance or a persistent issue. While it is not a disease itself, it can impact quality of life by causing stress, difficulty concentrating, or sleep disturbances. Managing tinnitus involves identifying underlying causes, sound therapy, or counseling, although there is currently no universal cure.
