Thematic Apperception Test
The Thematic Apperception Test (TAT) is a psychological projective test used to assess a person's personality and emotional functioning. In the test, participants are shown a series of ambiguous images and asked to create stories about them. The narratives reveal underlying thoughts, feelings, and motivations, offering insights into their interpersonal relationships and emotional health. By analyzing the content of the stories, psychologists can gain a better understanding of an individual’s desires, conflicts, and social perspectives, helping inform therapeutic approaches or personality assessments.
