Projective Tests

Projective tests are psychological assessments designed to uncover a person’s underlying thoughts, feelings, and personality traits. They involve presenting ambiguous stimuli, such as pictures or words, and asking individuals to respond or interpret them. The idea is that people project their own emotions and experiences onto these stimuli, revealing their inner world. Common examples include the Rorschach Inkblot Test and the Thematic Apperception Test (TAT). Projective tests are often used in clinical settings to gain deeper insights into a person's psyche beyond what they might express in structured questionnaires.
