Projective Techniques

Projective techniques are methods used by psychologists to explore a person's subconscious thoughts, feelings, and attitudes. They involve presenting ambiguous stimuli, such as images, sentences, or objects, and asking individuals to interpret or respond to them. The idea is that people project their inner thoughts and emotions onto these stimuli, revealing insights that might be difficult to express directly. These techniques are often used in personality assessments or therapy to gain a deeper understanding of someone’s inner world beyond their conscious awareness.
