The Satisfaction Paradox
The Satisfaction Paradox refers to the idea that acquiring more knowledge or experiences doesn’t always lead to greater happiness or satisfaction. As people learn more about the world, they often become aware of its complexities and challenges, which can lead to anxiety or stress. Instead of simply enjoying what they know, they feel pressure to keep learning or to deal with difficult realities. Thus, while knowledge is valuable, the more we know, the more we might realize how much we still don’t understand, potentially diminishing our overall satisfaction.
