The Kwanzaa Project

The Kwanzaa Project is an initiative designed to promote and celebrate Kwanzaa, a week-long cultural holiday honoring African heritage and values, observed from December 26 to January 1. Initiated in 1966 by Dr. Maulana Karenga, Kwanzaa emphasizes principles such as unity, self-determination, and collective responsibility. The project includes educational programs, community events, and resources that encourage participation and understanding of Kwanzaa’s significance. It aims to strengthen community bonds and foster pride in African culture while providing a platform for cultural expression and reflection during the holiday season.
