Tadeusz Bór-Komorowski (general)

Tadeusz Bór-Komorowski was a prominent Polish military leader during World War II. Born in 1895, he rose to the rank of general and became a key figure in the Polish resistance against Nazi occupation, particularly during the Warsaw Uprising of 1944. Bór-Komorowski led the resistance fighters, known as the Home Army, in a valiant but ultimately unsuccessful attempt to liberate Warsaw from German control. After the war, he faced challenges in exile due to the shifting political landscape in Poland, but he remained a symbol of Polish patriotism and resilience throughout his life. He died in 1966.
