systemic circulation

Systemic circulation is the pathway through which oxygen-rich blood travels from the heart to the rest of the body. It starts when the heart pumps blood into the aorta, the largest artery. This oxygenated blood then moves through smaller arteries and capillaries, delivering oxygen and nutrients to tissues and organs. Afterward, the blood, now low in oxygen, returns to the heart through veins. This cycle is essential for maintaining the body's overall function, supplying energy to cells, and removing carbon dioxide and waste products.
