Sun's Corona
The Sun's corona is its outer atmosphere, extending millions of kilometers into space. It is visible during a solar eclipse as a halo of plasma, glowing with a faint white light. The corona is extremely hot, reaching temperatures of about 1 to 3 million degrees Celsius, much hotter than the Sun’s surface. This heat is a mystery, but it plays a key role in solar phenomena like solar wind and sunspots. The corona contributes to space weather that affects satellites and communications on Earth, making it a significant area of study in astronomy and solar physics.
